What is a processor

PROCESSOR:

Processor is a chip where a large number of circuit elements are integrated onto a very small piece of silicon.

For example, the chip used in a mobile phone serves a number of purposes like making a phone call, listening to a phone, storing phone numbers of different persons, playing games and much more. All these functions are possible because a large numbers of circuit elements are integrated on the chip.
