Standard wire gauge ( SWG ) i)  It is made of thin steel sheet having a number of slots with mar king on its circumference. ii) The slots are made of different sizes according to their diameter iii) It is used for measuring the gauge and wire number.

Splicers (Insulation Remover) : i)It 18 used to remove the insulation cover from the wire. ii) Its size varies from 150mm to 200mm. iii) It is generally used in factories and labs by electrician .

Voltage/line tester : i) It is used for testing the presence of supply in the switches and sockets etc. 2) Live tester is available in volts as 500V and lOOOV  3)a high resistance is connected with the neon lamp in series with supply.

Poker : 1) It is pointed tip with hat side and the rest of the body is cylindrical like a screw driver. 2) It is used for making pilot holes in the wooden batten. board, round block etc., for screws. 3)It is available in length 150mm, 200mm etc.,

Rawl plug jumper (Tool) i) The tool has two parts one is tool bit and other is tool holder. 2) The bit is made of carbon steel. 3) It is used for making holes in bricks and concrete walls. 4) Fibre plugs or PVC plugs are inserted in them to fix the wooden batten or casing and capping for fixing it. 5) screws are driven in the plugs which cause the plug to expand and grip the wall. 6) while using the tool it should be rotated slowly after hammering 7) The sit is available according to numbers such as 8.10.12 and 14 numbers.

Electrical Drilling Machine i) It is also used for making holes in the wooden and metal. ii) These machine is operated by electricity, so it is called electric drill machine. iii) The speed of the machine is very high, hence it is very easy to make holes. iv) The drill bits of different sizes can be changed with the help of jaw. v) The drill bits m the jaw can be tightened or loosened with the key. These are of two types 1) Light duty electric drill machine. 2) Heavy duty electric drill machine

Hand Drill M achine . i) The machine is operated with hand so it is known as hand drill machine or portable drill machine i} It 15 used to make holes 1n wood by fixing bit. iii) It is available in 6mm and 12mm. iv) There are many types of hand drill machines. 1) Best drill machine 2) Ratchet brace hand drill machines. 3) Pneumatic hand drill machine.

Side cutting plier 1) It is used for cutting wires and for removing their insulation. 2) It is generally used for radio and winding work. 3) It is available in 100mm and 150mm.

Long nose piler : i) Its nose is long and round from nut side so it is called long nose plier. ' ii) It is used for loosening and tightening small nuts and bolts. iii) It is available in 100mm and 150mm.

Round nose plier : i) It is used for making the ends of wires round. ii) Its nose or jows are round so it is called round nose plier. iii) Its size varies from 100mm and 150mm.

Flat nose plier lts nose is flat so it is called flat nose plier. This can be used for holding, twisting and drawing winding from the stator or motor. Its size varies from 100mm and 150mm.

Combination plier : i) It is used for cutting gripping, twisting and holding the wires. ii) This plier is used for many operations so it is called Combination plier iii) The size of the plier varies from 150mm and 200mm iv) These are two types insulated, uninsulated power.
